Help the children of Gaza in Palestine

Help the children of Gaza in Palestine

The war in Gaza has been a difficult and tragic conflict for all involved, but the most heartbreaking casualties of this ongoing struggle are undoubtedly the children. According to scientific statistics, more than 1,400 Palestinian children have been killed since 2000 as a result of Israeli military operations in Gaza. This number is even more staggering when you consider that nearly 10 percent of these fatalities occurred within just one month during Israel’s 2014 Operation Protective Edge campaign against Hamas militants.

In addition to those who have died due to direct violence from the conflict itself, there are countless other ways that Palestinian children suffer because of it: displacement; poverty; lack or access to basic necessities such as food and water; inadequate medical care; psychological trauma due to witnessing death or destruction first-hand; educational disruption caused by school closures or unsafe travel conditions—the list goes on.

The statistics surrounding this issue paint an incredibly bleak picture about what life is like for young people living under occupation in Palestine today—but they also demonstrate why it's so important for us all take action if we want things ever change here going forward. We must stand up together with our brothers and sisters across borders until justice prevails and peace becomes a reality once again!

The war in Gaza has been a devastating conflict for the children of Gaza, with thousands of lives lost and countless more affected by its destruction. The most recent United Nations report on the situation paints a bleak picture: as of October 2023, over 2 million people are living under siege in Gaza – half of whom are children.

As if that weren't heartbreaking enough, statistics show that these young victims have faced an even greater share than adults when it comes to casualties from the violence. Over 1,000 minors were killed during this period alone while nearly 10 times as many were injured or maimed due to air strikes and shelling . This means that almost one out every five fatalities was a child; an appalling statistic which shows just how disproportionate the impact on innocent civilians has been throughout this conflict.

In addition to direct physical harm caused by airstrikes and shelling, there is also evidence showing long-term psychological damage inflicted upon those who survived such attacks but witnessed their loved ones die or suffer serious injuries at close range instead – particularly among younger individuals whose brains are still developing rapidly during childhood years . In fact , according to UNICEF's latest research , rates for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) amongst Gazan youth aged 11-17 increased by twofold since 2013 - before hostilities escalated again in 2019 - indicating widespread mental health issues within society resulting directly from exposure to extreme violence .

To make matters worse , limited access to medical care further exacerbates existing problems : reports suggest only 40%of necessary medicines reach hospitals across Gaza due largelyto restrictions imposedby Israeland Egypton imports into territory . Asa resultmany familiesare forced topay exorbitant pricesfor basic treatmentswhich can put themfurther intopovertyor debtwhile denyingtheir sickchildrenthecare theydesperately need ..
